Certified Production Technician

Course Overview:

The Production Technician course provides the student the foundational, portable production knowledge-set applicable to entry-level production technician jobs in the manufacturing industry and prepares the student to sit for the four Manufacturing Skills Standards Council [MSSC] Production Technician certification assessments; Safety Awareness, Production & Processes, Maintenance Awareness, and Quality Assurance. Additionally, this course covers Employability Skills as a non-assessed portion of the training.

Target Student: This course is intended for a career seeker in a manufacturing environment or for a manufacturing entry level or supervisory level employee looking to grow their career.

Prerequisites: Basic end-user skills with the word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications from any suite of office productivity software, such as Microsoft® Office®. 

Course Dates:  November 2 - December 7, 2017 

Course Time:  3-5 pm EST

Instructor Bio: Paul Steeger is currently a Certified Production Technican (CPT) and Certified CPT Insrtuctor. Mr. Steeger is a member of the National Board for the certifying body of CPT, the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) and is on the standards committee for the CPT curriculum and exam. Additionally, he also is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is OSHA certified. Mr. Steeger hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with multiple certifications including being a Certified Life Coach. He brings many years of work experience and application to this program and is considerred to be a Master Subject Matter Expert and Instructor.
